Memories by Aruna Apte

As a talented mathematician and a gifted artist, Aruna Apte has excelled in both these fields that are rarely seen together. Having earned her master's in mathematics and a Ph.D. in Operations Research, she has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses at various universities in the US and elsewhere for over four decades. In addition, she has also received her training in arts at the prestigious Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Over the years, her work has been shown at two art museums in Dallas and at numerous juried shows.

The current exhibition of paintings, sketches and etchings by Aruna represents her memories of people she met and places she visited in the US and around the world over the past several decades.
